![]() ![]() I have 50 hours on pyro, quite a few of which are surf I'm sure, and I've killed plat-level heavies more times that. And again, CircleStrafing works against Potatoes, not players of equal level. Then again a decent Heavy will be paying attention to his surroundings which would prevent that.Ī Pyro vs a Heavy of equal skills? Heavy will win just about always. The only chance the Pyro has at winning, is sniping at a long range with a Flaregun (Which can easily sidestep by de-spinning then jump spinning forward) or if the Heavy is caught from behind with Phlog Crits/Backburner crits. Circle Strafing works against people who cannot track, or aim for the life of them. I cannot tell you the number of Pyroes I have gunned down before the Axt nerf, and even after the Axt nerf. Jimmy Hunter původně napsal:This is beyond silly. ![]() You're only further convincing me that the heavies you fight are bad at the game or at the very least are significantly worse than you.Īvv -offline games only :( původně napsal:Ĭommonly traveled, try flanking through less common routes or something totally crazy like that, honestly the skill of a heavy doesn't matter too much, if you catch him off guard not only is his vision ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but he's not capable of just tracking you flawlessly, I'm assuming you can't use circle strafing well, I can stay alive near heavies who are trying to kill me for multiple seconds as scout, if I get lucky I can easily have 3+ seconds as engie if I strafe well, even as medic I've escaped point blank ambushes by players with good tracking just by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out for a few bullets and surfing right out if there on damage, heavies DPS is only a factor in heavy v heavy fights, its not only possible but highly probable if you pick your moments well, I ran into a heavy in the connector for point 2 on granary and managed to kill him before he got me, tracking isnt much of a factor in narrow hallways, just make them spazz out a bit while you deal constant high DPS and you'll win. Killing a heavy with the degreaser/axtinguisher combo pre-nerf was faster than simply flaming him to death, and every heavy bar natascha users could EASILY turn, spin up, and kill the pyro before the second swing was made. It's not hard to keep an eye on your surroundings. Hell, you don't even need gamesense if you turn up footsteps volume high enough. Gamesense includes knowing routes commonly traveled by the classes, and what's likely to appear where. The 1000 hours on my account guarantee that I have at the very least played the game. ![]() Have you actually played the game? you seem to think all tf2 maps are cp_orange or something, infinite move room to escape a pyro and infinite sightlines to see them coming, I've merc'd pyro for gold teams before and because I have a modicum of game sense I did fine even with no decent pyro DM, if I run into a heavy he's dead in about 3 seconds, sure he'd be dead faster if I was spy but with average human reaction times plus spinup plus tracking I'll get them most of the time, even the best players die to spies, they don't have flawless game sense and they do get caught out, go do some maths if you want but yeah its not just possible, its (provided you're decent) probable. Axtinguisher původně napsal:Regardless of my ability as pyro(and I'm not stupid enough to go anywhere near a heavy after the axtinguisher nerf, flares from from a distance), if someone tells me that a platinum level heavy cannot muster enough gamesense and tracking skill to swiss-cheese a circle strafing pyro, let alone let him get close in the first place, I'm going to assume they're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron. ![]()
